Couture designer David Emanuel (born 17 November 1952) is a Welsh fashion designer who is best known for having designed (along with his then wife Elizabeth)  the wedding dress worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1981.

In addition he designed more than 100 different outfits for Diana for special occasions and when she traveled abroad. Pieces of fabric from all his designs are in this collection as well as the invoices, (Yes, Diana had to pay for her clothes.) acceptance letters, and a letter from Buckingham Palace ordering the dresses.

The picture in the center shows Diana choosing from the many different fabrics that are now part of the Tapper Collection.
